Heather Granato has more than 15 years experience in
publishing in the natural products industry, currently serving as the group
editor in Virgo Publishing’s Health & Nutrition Division. Current magazine
titles include Natural Products INSIDER, Food Product Design, supplyside –
inside cosmeceuticals and Natural Products Marketplace. Granato has
been a presenter at industry events including SupplySide, Natural Products Expo,
the Natural Gourmet Show and NNFA MarketPlace. She graduated magna cum laude
from the University of Richmond, Va., in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in
journalism. |
David Sprinkle, Research Director, Packaged Facts
David Sprinkle worked for a dozen years as an analyst and
editor for consumer packaged goods market reports by Packaged Facts, a division
of the Market Research Group (Rockville, MD), before assuming his current role
as research director. Sprinkle has an MBA with a concentration in marketing from
Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business, where he also taught
courses in business communications. |
Greg Stephens brings 25 years of specialized expertise in the nutrition and
pharmaceutical industries to NMI. His background includes sales, marketing,
strategic planning, clinical research and regulatory affairs for companies such
as Nurture, Inc and Ross Nutritional Products Division of Abbott Laboratories.
Stephens received a bachelor’s of science degree in human nutrition from
Georgia State University, and is a Registered Dietitian with the American
Dietetic Association. Stephens is a frequent author of published articles, and
has spoken at industry events such as SupplySide, the American Dietetic
Association, and the American Healthcare Association, to name a few. |
Anthony L. Young, Esq., Partner, Kleinfeld, Kaplan and Becker LLP
Tony Young is a partner at Kleinfeld, Kaplan and Becker LLP.
He has counseled and represented domestic and foreign manufacturers with respect
to compliance and defense of matters under the statutes enforced by the FDA, the
Consumer Product Safety Commission, FTC, DEA and EPA for over 30 years. Young
has a diversified litigation and legislative practice from a regulatory,
litigation and product liability perspective. Young has counseled companies with
respect to all forms of regulatory filings with the FDA, including GRAS
notifications, new dietary ingredient notifications, and 510(k) notifications
for medical devices. He serves as general counsel to the American Herbal
Products Association. Young helped form, and serves as general counsel to, the
National Association of Free Clinics, the non-profit association of free
clinics. Young graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1973 and
clerked on the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. |
