Superfruits Workshop Announced for SupplySide West

PHOENIX –Virgo Publishing is offering the workshop “Superfruits: Science, Innovation and Market Opportunities” on Wednesday, Oct. 20 from 8:30 to 11:30am during SupplySide West, which will be held Oct. 19 to 23, 2010, at The Venetian & Sands Expo in Las Vegas. Ecuadorian Rainforest LLC, Northwest Naturals and Draco Natural Products are co-sponsoring the event. Speakers will discuss which superfruits consumers are using to improve their health, the role of superfruits in reducing common changes that occur in aging, the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of polyphenols in superfruits, and consumer awareness and understanding of superfruits. Steven French, managing partner at the Natural Marketing Institute and Barbara Shukitt-Hale, Ph.D., USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University will present this workshop.
