Virgo Announces SupplySide East Agenda, New Events

PHOENIX - Virgo Publishing announced the details for SupplySide East, May 4-6 at the Baltimore Convention Center. In addition to the exhibit hall with hundreds of ingredient suppliers and manufacturing service providers, the three-day education program and networking events, several new events and opportunities will be added.

"This year's SupplySide East will truly be an event, more than a trade show and conference," said Peggy Jackson, director of publishing for the Health and Nutrition Division for Virgo Publishing.  "With the comprehensive agenda, manufacturers of dietary supplements, functional foods and natural personal care products have everything they need in one place." 

Highlights include:

Three-day Education Program
Featuring speakers from National Institutes of Health, American Botanical Council, UCLA Center for Human Nutrition, University of Illinois at Chicago, GNC, National Community Pharmacists Association, UK Health Food Manufacturer Association, AHPA, NNFA and many others, the education program offers current and comprehensive seminars on up-to-date research, regulatory updates, marketing insight, manufacturing and formulation knowledge, and much more. The program is co-sponsored by EPAX® and Nutrilearn.

Science at SupplySide Poster Presentations
Examine the newest research over the three days of the show. Displayed near the exhibit hall, attendees will review the science and research behind products, ingredients and technologies. Company representatives will be available Wed., May 4 from 4-5:30pm to answer questions at the complimentary Science at SupplySide Poster Presentations/International Welcome reception, which is co-sponsored by KGK Synergize, SourceOne Global Partners and OptiPure/Soft Gel Technologies.

VendorWorks Presentations in the Exhibit Hall

Held during show floor hours, these special VendorWorks Presentations will be given in the exhibit hall. Attendees stop in to learn about developing new products and improving existing ones in these exhibitor-sponsored seminars.

Bill Rancic, NBC’s first The Apprentice, to Present Keynote Address

The winner of NBC’s first The Apprentice, founder of cigarsaroundtheworld.com and successful entrepreneur, will present an insightful and intriguing presentation on Thurs., May 5 at 11am, co-sponsored by Celadrin and INSIDER magazine.

Several additional events offer networking in a casual, relaxed environment. The SupplySide East Golf Classic, co-sponsored by Marco Hi-Tech and HSR: Health Supplement Retailer magazine, will be held on Wed., May 4 from 8:30am-2pm.  The Opening Reception, Thurs., May 5 from 5:30-7:30pm, is sponsored by DSM and Natural Health Science. More than 1,500 participants attended this event in 2004.  The Appreciation Lunch will be held during the revised exhibit hall hours on the exhibit floor from 11:30am-1pm on Fri., May 6. Exhibits are open from 10am to 2pm on the final day.
