Adam Ismail is executive director of the Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED), where he has overseen a 10-fold growth in its membership since 2007, the founding of an international learning consortium based at Purdue, overturning a ban on fish oil imports in Europe, and establishment of nutritional intake recommendations worldwide. Previously, he worked at Cargill, commercializing its omega-3 food ingredient business, and at Health Strategy Consulting and Health Business Partners on investment banking and strategy consulting projects.

Jay Udani, M.D., C.P.I., is the founder and CEO of Medicus Research, a leading contract research organization (CRO) for the natural health products industries, including botanical drugs, dietary supplements and functional foods. He is a board-certified internist who served as chief resident at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, CA, before completing two fellowships in Health-Services Research and Integrative Medicine at Cedars-Sinai/UCLA.
Dr. Udani is the medical director of the Northridge Hospital Integrative Medicine Program, where he successfully incorporated evidence-based alternative medicine treatments into his private practice and into hospital service lines including Oncology, Cardiology and Gastroenterology. He is also on the clinical faculty of the UCLA School of Medicine and was one of the first physicians to become a certified principal investigator (CPI) through the APPI/ACRP.
Recognized as one of the foremost key opinion leaders in the field of integrative medicine, Dr. Udani has designed and performed more than 75 clinical trials, and published over 40 articles and textbook chapters in this field. He is the recipient of many prestigious awards including the 2008 Natural Products Association Clinician of the Year, the AMA National Achievement Award, the Harvard Medical School Pinkney Fellowship in Orthopaedic Research, and was voted Best Physician Specialist and Best Medical Speaker in Los Angeles by the Daily News.

Mary E. Van Elswyk, Ph.D., is a registered dietitian with 20 years experience in academic research and scientific and regulatory affairs in the omega-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (LC-PUFA) industry. She has served as a consultant to the food and dietary supplement industry since 2007, specializing in the development and substantiation of nutrition and health claims.
